That’s Your Best Bet (TYBB for short) is designed for all sized devices for the modern age. Mobile enhanced links and apps are advertised throughout the site and a dedicated mobile landing page was created to optimise leads.

Modern Design

TYBB has gone through a fair number of rebranding stages as I like to explore what more the website can offer customers who are new to the betting scene. I’m sure that soon TYBB will look different to how it does now!

Networking

Partnered with the leading bookmakers, TYBB targets the UK market and is frequently updated with the latest offers in the market. As the website becomes more stable (ie how I like it to be presented to viewers), more bookmakers will be added to provide customers with even greater choice. This has lead to some good networking opportunities at affiliate betting events like the LAC.

Travel Counsellors Service Status

In September 2016, I was tasked with the challenge of creating an intuitive Service Status website for Travel Counsellors. The goal was simple, to create a portal where colleagues and franchisee’s could see the status of our IT systems.

As you can see on the right, it was an iterative process. Starting out with a simple website, we got the concept of what was required for the business. After communicating with those higher up, we determined it had to be simple where all information was above the fold.

With a HTML/CSS website made in Dreamweaver, I then moved the site over to WordPress. This was to make it centralised, where one change would be replicated across the design of the site. It also brought the advantage of being responsive to mobiles amongst other advantages. With the number of websites I had already made in the CMS, I was the head of the project. It was up to me to customise a theme, install appropriate plugins, create users, Twitter integration and a guide for others in Head Office.

Paul Abdullah Soundboard

Man, I love this project. For there are sometimes in life, particularly when in COVID-19 lockdown, where you need to make people laugh. And this project was just that.

A childhood friend of mine Paul, has so many catchphrases that I’ve always wanted a soundboard to have him anywhere I go. And I paid for his voice recordings to make my very own Soundboard app. I Frankenstein’d my earlier created Maths Game to become the basis of my very own Soundboard and during a week of lockdown, made this delight.

In a week, I made a responsive soundboard web app that works on any device. It has cool UI elements, like randomly allocating photos to the buttons and having random chance of which voiceline you get from each button too. I sprinkled in some gaming magic to the game too, implemtning a scoring mechanism, highscores, lifetime scores and easter eggs.
